Williams Library Mission Statement

The mission of our library is to build a community of readers through diverse literature experiences that inspire and empower every learner by providing a collaborative environment that is safe for learning, encourages inquiry, and offers students the opportunity to think creatively. Learners will have equal access to information and literacy instruction, all while connecting to the district’s vision to ensure each child is challenged to lead, grow, and serve.

Welcome to the Williams Elementary Library!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am so excited about starting our 5th year at Williams Elementary together and can't wait to see everyone as we continue to build our school library.

My dream of becoming a school librarian was based on the positive interactions with my own childhood school librarians. Reading and checking out books in the school library was the highlight of my week as a child! My hope is that I can make an impact on multiple students' lives, by introducing them to the love of reading, research, and collaboration through extending their classroom learning into the library. I will strive to make it a place our students can learn with confidence and support.

Upon graduating from Georgetown HS, I received my bachelors degree in elementary education with a focus on family studies from The University of Texas at Austin and received my masters' degree in Library Information Science at The University of North Texas.

Birthday Book Club

One School, One Book 2024 Information Letter

One School, One Book: This program will run from September 30-October 30. Every Williams FAMILY will receive a FREE copy of “The Mouse and the Motorcycle” on Monday, September 30th. Our hope is that you will read this book at home with your child, answer the trivia questions based on each chapter, and enjoy spreading the love of reading. The Trivia questions are optional, but if answered correctly, your child has the ability to win prizes throughout the month. Information is coming home in folders this week, including the QR codes to the trivia questions. If your home language is Spanish, then your child will come home with a Spanish copy of the book.
